Switching from Asset Panda

Asset Panda is a serious enterprise platform, and for a large organisation it can be exactly right. If you are a firm with a van, a workshop and a few hundred items, the mismatch usually shows up before you have even been quoted.

Why people start looking

We checked Asset Panda’s pricing page again on 3 August 2026. It contains no prices. What it contains is “Get a Demo”, “Get a Quote” and a phone number, with a seven-day trial that starts after the demo, on an annual contract.

That is a deliberate model and it works for organisations with a procurement process. It works badly for a small firm, because you cannot answer the simplest question — what will this cost me? — without booking a call and being qualified by a salesperson first. Then the answer arrives as an annual commitment.

Our prices are on the website. Free Forever for up to 100 assets. £19 a month for 500 assets and three users. £79 a month for 5,000 and ten users. Monthly or yearly, cancel when you like, and you can be tracking kit this afternoon without speaking to anyone.

Moving across, in four steps

Check your contract term first — annual agreements usually have a notice period, and there is no rush if you are mid-term. You can run us alongside on the free plan in the meantime.

1. Export your groups

Asset Panda is organised around custom groups, so export each one you care about as a CSV — the asset register first, then locations, categories and people.

2. Open a free account

Free Forever holds 100 assets, no card, no countdown. Enough to load one real group and see how it lands with the people who will use it.

3. Import, or send it over

Map your own columns to ours and preview before anything saves. Or hand us the exports and we will load them by hand, free, on any paid plan.

4. Label and scan

Design and print your own QR labels to standard sheets, or assign pre-printed stickers you already have. Scanning is a phone browser, not an app install.

What is different

When Asset Panda is the right choice

They are an enterprise platform and we are not pretending to be one.

Send us the export and we’ll do the rest

Getting the data out of your current system is rarely the hard part. Getting it in somewhere else is what stops people — so we made that bit easy, and we will also just do it for you.

Our importer takes the file you already have, lets you match your own columns, and shows you a full preview before anything is saved. Or send us your export and we will import it by hand, free, on any paid plan — assets, locations, categories and clients. You don’t retype a single row.

Start free to look around first. If you subscribe, get in touch and we’ll move everything across.

This page is about moving. If you want the feature-by-feature detail, read Asset Giant vs Asset Panda, or see the full side-by-side comparison against six systems at once. Every plan and price is on our pricing page. Other systems we have written up are on the alternatives index.

Common questions

How much does Asset Panda cost?

We cannot tell you, and neither can their website. As at 3 August 2026 Asset Panda publishes no pricing at all — you request a demo and then a quote, on an annual contract. We are not going to guess at a figure. Ours are published: £0, £19 and £79 a month.

Does Asset Panda have AI?

Yes. Their product is branded "Powered by Ursa AI" and it surfaces answers from the asset data you hold. It is a real feature and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What it does not do is identify an asset from a photograph or fill in its specifications from a make and model, which is what ours does.

Can Asset Panda raise quotes and invoices?

We looked on 17 August 2026. Their own published navigation documentation lists Audits, Barcode Generator, Dashboards, Predefined Forms, Reports, Images, Voice Notes, Videos and Documents — no quoting, invoicing or sales module. The one "Billing" screen in their help centre is for paying their own subscription. They are highly configurable, so an administrator may be able to build something similar; check with them if it matters.

Can you import my Asset Panda data?

Yes. Export your groups to CSV and import them yourself with column mapping and a full preview, or send us the files and we will load them by hand at no charge on any paid plan.
