Asset Panda pricing: there isn’t one to find

We checked their pricing page again on 17 September 2026. It contains no prices. What it contains is “Get a Demo”, “Get a Quote” and a sales phone number, plus a seven-day trial that only starts once you have had the demo.

That is a deliberate model, and for a large organisation with a procurement process it can work perfectly well. But if you are a firm with a van, a workshop and a few hundred items, it means you cannot answer the simplest question — what will this cost me? — without booking a call and being qualified by a salesperson first.

Our prices are on the website. Free Forever for up to 100 assets. £19 a month for 500 assets and three users. £79 a month for 5,000. No call required, and you can start without speaking to anyone.

AI that does the typing for you

Photograph a tool and Asset Giant catalogues it. It works out what the item is, then fills in the make, model and specifications for you. Building a register becomes pointing a phone at things rather than typing a spreadsheet — which is the difference between a system that gets finished and one that does not.

• Identify from a photograph — the fastest way to get a few hundred items in.
• Auto-fill the specifications — give it a make and model and it completes the detail fields.
• Ask it in plain English — “what’s out on the Riverside job?”, “what’s worth the most?”, “what’s free next week?”
• On every plan, including the free one — not a premium tier, not an enterprise add-on.

Asset Panda has AI too, and it is a different kind. They are branded “Powered by Ursa AI”, which surfaces answers from the data you have already entered — much as our assistant does. What we have not found on their side is cataloguing an asset from a photograph, and that is the part that removes the typing.

Quoting, invoicing and hire charging are in the box

Asset Giant does the paperwork as well as the register. Quotes, invoices and credit notes, raised from the kit you already track:

• Hire priced properly — by the hour, day, week or month, against your own chargeable days and minimum charges.
• Everything else on the same document — labour, call-outs and delivery as saved rate items; your own section headings, subtotals and free-text lines; discounts and per-line overrides.
• Tax that fits your country — name it VAT, GST or sales tax and that word is what prints. Add as many rates as you need, and it is fully compliant for UK VAT: zero-rated, exempt and the construction domestic reverse charge kept genuinely separate rather than collapsed into “0%”.
• Paid straight to you — connect your own Stripe account and the client gets a Pay button on the invoice. The money lands in your Stripe balance; we take no cut and no application fee.

What that normally costs. Every one of the twelve hire and rental platforms we reviewed in August 2026 ships quotes and invoices, and the cheapest paid one starts at US$29 a month; in the UK HireHop’s paid tier is £46 a month plus £23 per user, and EZOfficeInventory’s rental product EZRentOut starts at US$399 a month billed annually. Ours is on the same £19 plan as the asset register, and quotes are unlimited even on the free plan.

Where we stop, plainly: we are not a full hire platform. A dedicated system gives you a public booking storefront your customers order through, and we have nothing of the kind.

On Asset Panda’s side, we went and looked on 17 August 2026 rather than leave it unsaid. Their own published navigation documentation lists Audits, Barcode Generator, Dashboards, Predefined Forms, Reports, Images, Voice Notes, Videos and Documents — no quoting, invoicing or sales module. The one “Billing” screen in their help centre is for paying their subscription, not for billing your customers. Asset Panda is highly configurable, so a determined administrator may well be able to build something invoice-shaped out of custom groups; what we are saying is that there is no such feature in the box. Check with them if it matters to you.

Where Asset Panda may suit you better

They are a serious enterprise platform and we are not pretending otherwise.

• If your configuration requirements are unusually deep, Asset Panda is built around exactly that and will likely stretch further than we do. We handle complex set-ups too — custom fields, your own statuses and asset ID formats, per-company tax rates and rate cards — and larger customers get dedicated support from us directly; theirs simply goes further still.
• If your organisation needs a formal procurement process and a named account manager as part of the purchase, that is their model and they do it well. Talk to us anyway — we do dedicated onboarding and hands-on support for larger accounts, and we will tell you straight if you would be better served there.
• We are built for small and mid-sized teams who want to be running this week, not implementing for a quarter.
