Asset Giant lets everyone shape the asset page around their own work, instead of scrolling past sections that don’t apply to them.
Collapse a card, and it still tells you something
Every card on the page — Core Details, Financials, Assignment, Bookings and the rest — opens and closes from its own title, on a laptop or a phone. Closing a card doesn’t hide the point of it: a closed card carries a one-line summary right there in the header, so “Financials — £24.99, bought 12/03/2025” tells you what you need without a single tap. Close every card and an asset reads in ten lines instead of a full-page form — a genuinely useful overview, not just tidiness.
Hide what you never use, and it isn’t gone
For cards your business never fills in, Customise view goes a step further than collapsing — it removes a card from the page entirely, for that person, on that device. Hiding is never destructive: a hidden card’s information stays attached to the asset, ready the moment you bring it back. Only Core Details — the asset’s name, type and status — can never be hidden, because it’s what makes the record an asset in the first place.
Arrange it your way
Inside Customise view:
- On a laptop or desktop, drag a card between the three columns, or use the arrow buttons to send it to the next one.
- On a phone, arrow buttons move a card up or down a single stacked list.
- A Reset to default layout option is always one click away if an arrangement stops working for you.
If you manage company settings, you can also save your arrangement as the team default — the starting layout for anyone who joins and hasn’t set up their own yet.
Remembered, per person, per device
The layout you build is saved against you, not the asset, and separately for desktop and phone — a busy scanner-view phone layout and a detail-heavy desktop layout can coexist without either one overwriting the other. Sign in on a different computer or hand a phone to a colleague and each person’s own arrangement is exactly as they left it.
Guard rails keep this safe in practice: if a required field sits inside a card you’ve closed or hidden, saving the asset opens that card and points you straight at it, so nothing you need to fix is ever hiding from you by accident.
One order, company-wide, for Custom Fields
Custom fields work slightly differently, because the same order drives more than one screen — it’s also the column order in your exports and the spreadsheet import template. Anyone managing company settings can drag fields into the order that suits the business, either from Settings → Custom Fields or from the drag handles inside the Custom Fields card itself, and that order then applies for the whole team. See Add Your Own Fields to Track Anything Extra for the full walkthrough.
