The price gap is the headline
EZOfficeInventory’s entry plan, Essential, is $63.55 a month based on 300 items — and the price scales with your item count from there. There is no free plan; you get a 15-day trial.
Asset Giant starts at £0 and our Crew plan is £19 a month for 500 assets and three users. Our Business plan is £79 a month for 5,000 assets and ten users. Flat per company, not metered per item.
To be fair to them: EZO includes unlimited users under a fair-usage policy, which is genuinely generous if you have a lot of people who need occasional access. If your constraint is items rather than people — which it usually is for a trades or field team — the maths lands very differently.
The short version
- £19/month for 500 assets and three users against EZO’s $63.55/month entry plan based on 300 items.
- We have a free plan; they do not. Free Forever holds 100 assets, with no card and no countdown.
- Every one of our plans includes the AI — including photo identification, which catalogues an asset from a photograph. EZO’s AI is a chatbot and invoice import; their AI checklists are a separately-priced add-on.
- Every one of our plans prints your own QR labels — designer, print queue and pre-printed stickers, with nothing extra to buy.
- Flat price per company, rather than a per-item meter that climbs as your register fills.
Where we are genuinely better
A fraction of the entry price
£19 a month for 500 assets and three users, against an entry plan starting at $63.55 a month based on 300 items. Ours is flat per company: adding items does not move the price, and there is a free plan underneath it if you want to start smaller.
AI that catalogues from a photograph
Photograph a tool and it is identified, named and specced for you — the fastest way to build a register from nothing. EZO offers an AI chatbot and AI invoice import, but neither builds an asset record from a photo, and their AI checklists sit behind a separately-priced add-on. Ours are all included on every plan.
Label design and printing in the box
A visual QR label designer, batch printing to standard label sheets, and the option to assign pre-printed stickers. On every plan, with no module to add.
Simple enough to actually roll out
EZO is a deep operations platform, and depth costs setup time. We are designed so someone can photograph a shelf of tools and have a working, scannable register by the end of a tea break — on a phone, with nothing to install.
Where EZOfficeInventory may suit you better
They are a bigger platform and there are places that shows.
- Unlimited users under fair usage is genuinely good value if you have many occasional users rather than many items.
- If you need deep maintenance management, purchase orders and a wide integration list as core parts of your operation, EZO covers more ground there than we do.
If you want that breadth and the budget for it, they are a solid choice. If you want your kit tracked properly for a fraction of the price, that is what we built.

Common questions
How much does EZOfficeInventory cost?
As at 3 August 2026 their published plans are Essential $63.55/month, Advanced $85.51/month and Premium $100.88/month, each quoted based on 300 items, with the price scaling as your item count grows. There is a custom Enterprise tier. Users are unlimited subject to a fair-usage policy. There is no free plan; they offer a 15-day trial.
Is Asset Giant cheaper?
Substantially, at the sizes most small and mid-sized teams operate at. Our Crew plan is £19/month for 500 assets and three users, and Business is £79/month for 5,000 assets and ten users. We also have a genuinely free plan, where EZO offers a trial only.
Does EZOfficeInventory have AI?
Yes — they offer an AI chatbot and AI-powered invoice import across their plans, with AI checklists available through their separately-priced CMMS packaging. Asset Giant’s AI is different in kind: it identifies an asset from a photograph and fills in its specifications, and every AI feature is included on every plan.
