What leading hire software platforms charge, as at August 2026
We checked, wrote it down and dated it, because software prices go stale fast:
- The cheapest full hire system we priced starts at US$29 a month — with delivery management, barcode scanning and a mobile point of sale all sold as separate add-ons on top.
- The cheapest UK-native one publishes £46 a month, plus £23 a month for each additional concurrent user.
- The UK events and dry-hire default is £59 for the first user and £39 for each one after that.
- One well-known European platform charges a monthly platform fee plus a per-power-user fee per module, and bills quoting and invoicing and QR and barcode scanning as separate paid extras.
- One large asset-tracking vendor sells hire as an entirely separate product, from US$399 a month billed annually.
- The enterprise names in this market mostly do not publish a price at all, and add setup, data migration and training on top.
None of that is a criticism of those products — several of them do things Asset Giant does not. It is the going rate, next to ours.

Our meter starts after an allowance, not at the first login. Each paid plan includes a team, and only the people beyond that allowance cost anything — one at a time, at a rate published on the plans page, on the same single bill and the same date. Add someone on a Tuesday and you pay for the days left in the month, not a month you have not had.
Get the fleet in without typing it in
- Photograph it. Point a phone at a machine and AI photo identification writes the name, make, model, category and specifications for you. Or type a make and model and let it fill in the rest.
- Import it. If your fleet is already in a spreadsheet, bring it straight in — see Import from a Spreadsheet.

And no cut of your money
Card payments are charged onto your own Stripe account. Asset Giant takes no percentage and no application fee, which is worth checking against any product whose free tier is funded by a commission on what your customers pay you.
Honest about the gap
There is no public booking storefront yet — no page where the public picks dates and pays you a deposit. We are building one.
