Who has what — in one search

Items are checked out to a named person, with a date, and back in again when they are returned. See Check Items In and Out. Every item gets its own Asset ID in your own format — IT-000418, LAPTOP-0092, whatever your estate already uses (Custom Asset ID Formats). Print it as a QR label for the lid, the underside or the dock (QR Code Asset Labels), or run off a sheet of blank codes in advance and assign them as kit is unboxed (Pre-Print Codes in Bulk).

A starter gets a laptop, a dock, two monitors and a phone checked out to their name in a couple of minutes. A leaver's kit is checked back in the same way, and anything still against their name is on screen while you are looking at it — which is the point at which a missing dock is cheap to find.
